Student's degree in safety, hygiene

Chris M. Gowetski received a bachelor of science degree in occupational safety and hygiene management during ceremonies Aug. 19 at Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

She is the daughter of Robert and Andrea Gowetski of Edgewood.

Woman appointed hall director

Gina Marconi, daughter of Enzo and Arlene Marconi of Fallston, has been appointed hall director at Lynchburg College, a private school in Central Virginia.

The hall director is responsible for management of the residence hall, including overseeing and managing the staff of resident assistants.

Ms. Marconi, a 1992 graduate of Fallston High School, is a senior child development major.

10 local students named to honors list

Ten Harford County students were named to the dean's highest honors list for the spring semester at Essex Community College. Students included in the list must have earned at least a 3.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Students honored were:

Bel Air -- Stephen J. Rankin.

Edgewood -- Clyde L. Roberts III.

Fallston -- Gretchen A. Cox, Gina Marie Difatta and Laura Propoggia.

Forest Hill -- Dorothy J. Schneider and Kerri P. Shealey.

Joppa -- Maxine Durham, Joseph P. Gross and Shane CPridgeon.
