Two thousand dollars was stolen from a delivery truck parked in the 800 block of Bestgate Road in Annapolis between 3:40 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. Thursday, county police said.
The Pepsi Cola truck was parked in front of the Environmental Protection Agency when the theft occurred, police said. Four money bags were in the truck: three were locked in a steel safe and one was on the floor in the cab of the truck.
When the driver returned, he found all four bags gone, and the padlock of the safe open. Police say there was no signs of damage to the padlock.
2 teens charged in theft of medicine, film
County police arrested two Baltimore juveniles Thursday and charged them with stealing $477 worth of medicine and film from the Wal-Mart store in Glen Burnie.
Police say the girls entered the store in the 7900 block of N. Crain Highway shortly after 5 p.m. with two large handbags.
The girls, one 16 and the other 15, were charged with felony theft.
Car set on fire outside residence
A Baltimore man's car was set afire just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday while it was parked in the 600 block of Kensington Avenue in Severna Park, county police said.
Robert Joseph Waters, 32, was visiting Alicia Joyce Woods when she got into an argument on the phone with another man, the police report said.
Police say the man called back several times, but Ms. Woods refused to let him visit. About an hour after the argument, Ms. Woods and Mr. Waters heard the car alarm sounding and noticed the 1994 Mazda 626 was burning.
4 charged in burglary of Pasadena house
Police arrested three men and a woman Wednesday and charged them with stealing more than $3,400 in tools and appliances from a house in the 1100 block of Duvall Highway in Pasadena.
A neighbor called police just after 10 a.m. when she noticed people taking property from the house and loading it into a car parked out front, the police report said.
Police arrested Steven Michael Pappas, 24, of the 2400 block of Marbourne Ave. in Baltimore; George Jason Purper, 21, of the 3800 block of Annapolis Road in Landsdowne; Michael Tribble, 35, of the 2600 block of Kent St. in Baltimore; and Annette Denise Wallace, 33, of the 2600 block of Kent St. in Baltimore.
