SHOOTING: Northern District -- A 24-year-old resident of the 4100 block of The Alameda was arguing with at least two men in the 4100 block of St. George's Ave. yesterday when one of them pulled out a handgun. Officer Warren Stevens said the victim was attempting to flee when the gunman shot him in the back. Officer Stevens said the victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and was listed today in serious but stable condition. Officer Stevens said no arrests had been made.

SHOOTING: Southern District -- A 22-year-old man was in the 2600 block of Carver Road in Cherry Hill yesterday when he was shot at least once by someone who fired several shots in his direction. The man was found lying on the ground by police. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Southeastern District -- Property valued at more than $400 was stolen from a 1988 Ford parked in the 600 block of S. Patterson Park Ave. yesterday.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A boy who lives in the 4400 block of Belvieu Ave. was riding his bike near his home yesterday when several older youths knocked him to the ground and stole the bike, valued at more than $100.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson Precinct -- A gunman with two gold front teeth and wearing a red bandana over his face robbed the Sizzler restaurant in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Blvd. yesterday and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.

HARFORD COUNTY

OFFICER ASSAULTED/ARRESTS: Joppa -- Two man were arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer inside the Normal Bar on Route 7 over the weekend. Edward L. Brittan, 25, of Street, and Alan C. Otto, 35, of Abingdon were released on personal recognizance. Trooper Daniel Waltemeyer sprayed mace to subdue two men after they pushed him, police said.
