Academics sideline two Terps reserves

September 01, 1995|By From Staff Reports

COLLEGE PARK -- Two Maryland reserves, linebacker Kendall Ogle and wide receiver Duan Jones, are academically ineligible to play this season. Both entered Maryland a year ago.

Ogle played as a running back in the short-yardage offense but was moved to defense last spring. Jones, who starred at Eleanor Roosevelt High in Greenbelt, was redshirted.

"The good news is, no one on our two-deep [first and second string] is ineligible," said Terps coach Mark Duffner. "Everyone else is academically eligible to play."
