Chef Brian Boston is back he will be in Timonium

TABLE TALK

Fans of Brian Boston will be glad to know he's cooking in the Baltimore area again. (I got calls from readers for months after his Essex restaurant, Boston's, closed.) As of Sept. 6, he'll be the chef at Peerce's Gourmet in Timonium. Look for a new dinner menu emphasizing grilled meats and seafood, with entrees priced between $8 and $15.

* You never know with Restaurant 2110 on N. Charles St. It opens. It closes. It reopens. At the moment, the phone is disconnected and owner-chef Benny Gordon seems to be concentrating on Benny's, his jazz supper club up the street a few blocks.

* Sign up now for Rudys' 2900 Octoberfest, which is scheduled for Sept. 27-29. The multicourse meal (for $37.50) will include various German specialties, such as goulash, sour beef, rouladen, braised veal shank and schnitzel. There'll also be traditional Octoberfest costumes and music. Call (410) 833-5777 for reservations.
