Physics laboratory announces promotions

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory near Columbia has announced two management promotions:

G. Richard Garritson of Woodbridge, Va., has been named chief of staff.

He joined APL in 1988.

James C. Hagan of Ellicott City becomes head of the aeronautics department, succeeds Dr. Garritson.

He is a 35-year employee of APL. Dennis W. Miller of Columbia has joined Commercial & Farmers Bank as assistant vice president in business banking.

Mr. Miller has seven years of experience in financial sales and management.
