Columbia's not only a place, it's now a game

August 09, 1995

B'nai B'rith Columbia Lodge will produce a real estate board game, "The Game of Columbia Maryland."

Players will buy, sell and expand local businesses by advancing their way around the town, aspiring to become the wealthiest entrepreneur.

Squares will be named after businesses, professionals and organizations in Columbia who have purchased a spot on the board.

Prices vary according to board placement.

Fees include $179 for a Basic Square, along the side of the board; $229 for a Premium Gold Square that is one of eight key locations along the side of the board; $299 Premium Corner Squares on the four corners of the board.

The first 300 families to pre-purchase the game will have their names permanently printed on the board.

Orders with payments must be received by Tuesday.

The game sells for $16.95 through members of the B'nai B'rith Lodge and sponsoring businesses. Proceeds will benefit the Lodge's community service projects.

Each game also comes with coupons for local businesses advertised.

Checks should be made payable to B'nai B'rith Columbia Lodge, 7188 Cradlerock Way, Suite 121, Columbia 21045.

Information: 290-9417.
