BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a Superfried Chicken store in the 1200 block of W. North Ave., knocked over video games and stole an unknown amount of money in change. Police said the burglary happened between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. yesterday.

AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A silver 1989 Ford Probe with Maryland tag AROO231 was taken from the 1900 block of N. Edgewood St. between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. yesterday.

AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A black 1994 Pontiac with Maryland tag BVD 914 was taken from the 4500 block of Manorview Road between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. yesterday.

THEFT: Southern District -- A black Huffy mountain bike was taken from a Safeway supermarket in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Police said two men took off with the bike, which was parked in front of the store.

ARMED ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man armed with a handgun robbed Choice TV Rentals in the 2200 block of E. Monument St. of $3,500 about 8:20 p.m. Saturday and forced an employee to hand over the videotape from a surveillance camera.

Baltimore County

AUTO THEFT: Catonsville Precinct -- A silver 1989 Hyundai sedan with Maryland tag BCF 660 was taken from a home in the first block of St. Timothy's Lane between 9:50 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. yesterday. The car's owner said a woman who had come home with him took the car while he was asleep.

AUTO THEFT: Catonsville Precinct -- A dark blue 1994 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tag 658393M was taken from a business in the 1200 block of Ten Oaks Road on Saturday night or yesterday morning.

ROBBERY: Parkville Precinct -- A young man pulled a 45-year-old woman to the ground and snatched her purse containing about $100 as she walked to her apartment in the 2300 block of Salem Village Road about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The assailant fled with three other young men in a dark vehicle.

BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Someone smashed the glass front door of the La-Z-Boy Showcase Shoppe, a furniture store in the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike, and took $50 from the cash register. The break-in was discovered at 4:30 a.m. yesterday.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- An assailant followed an 85-year-old man into an apartment building in the 1200 block of Valleybrook Court at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, knocked the victim to the ground and robbed him of $120.

BURGLARY ATTEMPT:BURGLARY ATTEMPT: Towson Precinct -- Someone tried to enter a vacant rental property in the 8500 block of Chestnut Oak Road, damaging the door frame. The attempt was reported Saturday by the house's owner.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- Jewelry with an estimated value of $13,000 was reported missing Saturday from a home in the 1100 block of Corbett Road in Monkton. There was no sign of forced entry.
