ASSAULT ON OFFICER: Eastern District -- A man escaped arrest on heroin possession charges by punching and kicking a police officer about 4:15 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of E. Monument St. at 4:15 p.m. Police said the suspect ran away, with handcuffs attached to his right wrist.

STOLEN CAR: Eastern District -- A 1993 Dodge Spirit was stolen between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. yesterday from the 1300 block of Ashland Ave. The car had Maryland tags CBS 746.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Eastern District -- Someone took $50 worth of compounds used for finishing drywall after prying open a door to Warwick Construction Co. in the 900 block of E. Preston St. between 3 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. yesterday.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- Someone broke into the Universal Housing Corp. in the 1000 block of Hidden Moss Drive in Cockeysville yesterday. Missing items included a microwave oven, a garbage disposal, caulk guns and a box of caulk.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- The Sears in Hunt Valley Mall reported at least $500 worth of damage after someone broke a glass door and entered the store Saturday night. Store personnel were unsure yesterday what was stolen.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- A woman was arrested Saturday evening charged with taking $2,055 worth of jewelry from an apartment in the first block of Silver Leaf Court in Cockeysville. Police said a neighbor captured the woman, who broke in through a back door.

THEFT: Parkville Precinct -- Residents in a Parkville neighborhood reported thefts early yesterday of about $900 worth of wrought iron lawn furniture. Someone stole $100 worth of lawn furniture from a front porch in the 2700 block of Alden Road and $800 worth of lawn furniture from a front yard and porch at a home in the 8200 block of Evergreen Drive.

ARMED ROBBERY: White Marsh Precinct -- A man brandishing a handgun robbed a High's convenience store in the 1800 block of Philadelphia Road of $95 shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: North Point Precinct -- A man lost his $120 paycheck to robbers early yesterday at Rabon and Mildred avenues in Dundalk. The victim said five men in a red station wagon threatened to beat him unless he gave them his money. The man recorded a tag number and police arrested four suspects.

VICE ARREST: North Point Precinct -- Police arrested a man and woman on charges of performing a perverted sex act in a car at Dunmanway and Liberty Parkway in Dundalk at 4:55 a.m. yesterday.
