Gunman robs convenience store

July 28, 1995

A gunman robbed a Glen Burnie gas station and convenience store Wednesday of an undisclosed amount of money, county police said yesterday.

The bandit walked into Uncle Marvin's Oasis in the 7700 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. about 11:05 p.m. and asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes. While the clerk got the cigarettes, the man showed a handgun he had tucked in his waistband and demanded all the money from the cash register, police said.

The clerk put the money in a brown bag and handed it to the robber, who fled the store and headed south on Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard. The clerk hit the burglar alarm to summon police, who used a dog to track the culprit to a spot where he may have parked a getaway car.
