Companies-for-sale lists offered by subscription

The Anne Arundel Economic Development Corp. is offering specialized lists of county companies for sale.

The lists include associations, commercial developers, distribution companies, environmental companies, foreign-owned companies, minority and women-owned businesses, manufacturing companies, and others.

Subscriptions to most lists are $50, and single lists cost $35 each. Custom lists are available for $75 each.

Trade council airs monthly TV show

The Anne Arundel Trade Council's monthly program, "It's Good Business," airs on Jones Intercable's Channel 22 at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 5 p.m. Thursdays, and on TCI Cablevision of Annapolis Channel 15 at 11 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.

The July program features an interview with Chip Doordan, president of Anne Arundel Medical Center, and Jim Walker, president of North Arundel Hospital.

Entrepreneur's group to meet on Wednesday

Entrepreneur's Exchange will meet at noon Wednesday at Busch's Chesapeake Inn, U.S. 50, Annapolis.

Joseph T. Herbert, manager of marketing and development for Baltimore-Washington International Airport, will be the guest speaker.

The cost is $14 for members and includes lunch, $17 for nonmembers or members without reservations.

Trade Council plans seminar for exhibitors

The Anne Arundel Trade Council will sponsor a seminar for Expo '95 exhibitors on "Effective Ways to Market Your Product and Service" from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Trade Council Office, 1460 Ritchie Highway, Suite 209, Arnold.

Business people are invited to bring their bag lunches. The deadline for Expo '95 booth reservations is Aug. 18.

Annapolis chamber sets monthly breakfast

Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its monthly "Business Contacts" networking breakfast from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Aug. 3 at Annapolis Landing Marina.

The cost is $15 for members, $30 for nonmembers. Reservations are required.

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a networking breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Holiday Inn North, 6323 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

The cost is $12 with a reservation made by Aug. 4, and $15 after.

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the "Professional Women's Network" at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 at Odenton Elementary School, 1290 Odenton Road. Reservations are required.

Arundel chamber plans networking night

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a networking night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Aug.17 at Elkridge Bank, 7381 Baltimore- Annapolis Blvd.

The cost for members is $6 with a reservation, $8 without. The cost for nonmembers is $10.

The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce is selling Ocean City Dine & Fun '95 savings books for $15 each.

Annapolis merchants promote Main Street

Celebrate Annapolis, a group of Annapolis merchants, has created an advertising effort to help attract visitors to the city during the reconstruction of Main Street.
