* Mount Airy: firefighters responded to a fire alarm in a building in the 1800 block of Woodbine Road, Howard County, at 11:29 a.m. Sunday. They were out for 12 minutes.

Firefighters from the Mount Airy station investigated smoke in the area of Route 144 at 10:37 p.m. Saturday. They were out for 26 minutes.

Mount Airy firefighters were dispatched to an apartment fire on Baker Avenue in Frederick County at 5:38 p.m. Friday. They were out for 35 minutes.

* Winfield: Winfield firefighters responded to a report of an illegal open burning fire on Klee's Mill Road at 4:15 p.m. Sunday. They were out for 25 minutes.

Engines from the Winfield, New Windsor and Mount Airy stations were dispatched to a house fire in the 4000 block of Bee Court at 6:20 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 26 minutes.
