Woman leaving car is robbed at knifepoint

A man armed with a knife robbed an East Columbia woman as she got out of her car Friday night, Howard County police said.

The victim was not injured in the 11 p.m. assault in the 9000 block of Watchlight Court in the Long Reach Village, though the robber threatened to use the knife, police said.

He was described as a black male in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds and with a light mustache. He wore a dark T-shirt, dark jeans and a dark baseball cap, police said.
