Restaurants cited for safety, health breaches

Anne Arundel County health inspectors visited 168 restaurants and food service establishments from June 16 to 30 to evaluate them on nine health and safety items.

Twenty-nine businesses had critical food safety violations that required immediate attention; two were temporarily closed for emergency reasons.

On June 19, PoFolks, 6600 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, was closed for the day after it had a sewage backup.

On June 20, Denny's, 6600 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, was closed for the day because of a kitchen fire.

The other 27 businesses are:

* Maryland Correctional Institute, Route 175, Jessup. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Dough Roller, 1200 block of Crain Highway South, Crofton. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Pizza Boli's, 2100 block of Defense Highway, Crofton. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Pizza Boli's, 1300 Blair Drive, Odenton. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers, 3300 block of Russett Green East, Laurel. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Randazzo Softball Park, Upton Road, Severn. Food not held at proper temperature.

* McDonald's, 600 block of Old Mill Road, Millersville. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Annapolis Fish Market, City Market House, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Philadelphia Style Pizza and Subs, 800 block of Nursery Road, Linthicum. Food not adequately cooked or reheated.

* Armadillo's, 100 block of Dock St., Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* La Fontaine Bleu, 7500 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

* Laurel Racetrack Kitchen, Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Seaside Restaurant, 200 block of North Crain Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Eatery, MVPB-105, 100 block of Community Place, Crownsville. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Ginger Cove, 4000 block of River Cresent Drive, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Ronny's Carryout, 5000 block of Ritchie Highway, Brooklyn Park. Food not adequately cooked or reheated. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Lester's Annapolis Ramada, 100 block of Jennifer Road, Annapolis. Food not properly cooled.

* Roy Rogers, Cape St. Claire Road and Route 50, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Mo's Seafood Factory, 7100 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not held at proper temperature.

* Fuddrucker's, 100 block of Jennifer Road, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature.
