ASSAULT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a 54-year-old man who pointed a handgun at a woman in the 500 block of E. 38th St. during an argument yesterday. The gun turned out to be a starter pistol.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Northern District -- Someone entered a 1991 Ford station wagon parked on a lot at Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. yesterday and stole a car battery and a camera, all valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A set of keys and $20 were stolen yesterday from the University Baptist Church in the 3500 block of N. Charles St. by someone who entered through a door.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Northern District -- A 34-year-old man was riding his bike in the 700 block of Cator Ave. yesterday when a gunman forced him off the bike and stole it. Later, police arrested a 19-year-old man and were holding him pending robbery and weapon charges.

THEFT FORM AUTO: Southwestern District -- Five file cabinets, a computer keyboard, floppy discs and other items, all valued at more than $2,300, were stolen Tuesday from a 1983 Ford truck parked at the DeSoto Business Park in the 1100 block of Wilso Drive.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of Christian St. yesterday through a rear door and stole more than $300.

THEFT FROM TRUCK: Southwestern District -- Tools valued at $1,000 were stolen yesterday from a Ford pickup truck parked in the 2200 block of Forest Park Ave.

STOLEN CAR: Parkville Precinct -- A 1993 Plymouth Acclaim with tags VCR 608 was stolen yesterday from the 2500 block of Linwood Road.

VANDALISM: Garrison Precinct -- Someone spray painted graffiti on a car, the wall of a house and the drive-thru window of a Signet Bank branch in the 3600 and 3700 blocks of Milford Mill Road early yesterday.

HARFORD COUNTY

THEFT FROM VAN: Joppa -- Someone entered a van parked in the rear of a house in the 3500 block of Philadelphia Road Tuesday and stole a sofa, a love seat, auto parts, tools and an air-impact gun, all valued at $2,000.
