July 13, 1995

A county police officer, called to quell a domestic quarrel at a Glen Burnie home, arrested the couple after the officer found a cocaine smoking pipe on a coffee table in the house, police said.

Northern District Officer Stefanie Samler went to a home in the 200 block of Georgia Ave. N.E. about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a reported quarrel. A man who answered the door told the officer he was having a fight with a woman and wanted her to leave. He invited Officer Samler inside, police said.

While the man and woman sat on two separate couches in the living room, Officer Samler saw a plastic pipe with an aluminum foil filter on the coffee table. Such a pipe is used to smoke cocaine, and Officer Samler arrested the man and the woman, police said.
