Couple fired on in apartment not hurt

July 10, 1995

A Columbia man and his girlfriend were at his Columbia apartment Friday when three people broke into the apartment and fired a gun at them, Howard County police said.

Michael Neurell, 20, of the 5300 block of Brook Way in Wilde Lake village and Kelly Jones, 18, of the 7100 block of Carriage Hill Drive in Laurel were not injured in the 1:10 a.m. attack.

Police are looking for two men and one woman they say broke into Mr. Neurell's apartment and demanded money. One of the men fired a shot at the couple before the three ran away.

Mr. Neurell told officers the incident came after a money dispute between him and one of the intruders, police said.
