Gambrills man attacked police arrest suspect

Two men burst into an apartment outside Annapolis Tuesday morning and attacked a Gambrills man, county police said.

Jeffrey Lorne Glasock, 24, of the 900 block of Central Lane, was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center for injuries to his face and released, police said.

Mr. Glasock and a friend were in an apartment in the 2000 block of Harbour Gates Drive when someone knocked on the door at about 2:10 a.m. When the friend answered the door, two men brushed him aside and jumped Mr. Glasock, police said.

The two men beat Mr. Glasock, with one of them using a club, police said. One of the assailants escaped, but police arrested one man after getting an emergency call.

Michael John Cramer, 22, of the 1800 block of Crofton Parkway was charged with assault and battery. Police believe the second suspect is a 20-year-old Gambrills man.

Woman, 50, charged in theft of clothes

A Baltimore woman was charged Tuesday evening with stealing clothes worth nearly $400 from the Nordstrom store in the Annapolis Mall, county police said.

A store security officer told police a woman come in about 6 p.m. and took a pair of slacks and two dresses into the dressing room. The woman appeared to have none of the clothes when she left the dressing room, but the security guard found empty hangers when she checked the room, police said.

The security guard stopped the woman and found she had hidden clothes worth $388 on her body, police said.

Darlene Sue Zacarias, 50, of the 1800 block of McHenry St., was charged with felony theft, police said.

Broadneck announces spring honor rolls

Broadneck High School has announced its superintendent's and principal's honor rolls for the spring semester.

Students named to the superintendent's honor roll are Jennifer Darling, Jeremy Eckman, Jonathan King, Sonya Kramer, Erin Jatko and Justin Nash.

The sophomores on the principal's honor roll are: Melissa Bragg, Justin Burton, Michael Calhoon, Jennifer Darling, Monique Good, Erin Jatko, Megan Johnson, Katherine Lynch, Heather Mein, James Miante, Justin Nash, Chad Speargas, Robert Stillwell, Susannah Storch, Bradley Taylor and Brent Wilson.

The juniors are: Meredith Benda, Kathleen Cook, Jeremy Eckman, Adam Gluck, Jessica Kemp, Jason Keyser, Jonathan King, Sonya Kramer, Daniel Latta, Jody Marder, Bradford Morse, Nicole St. Pierre and Wendy Vogenitz.

The seniors are: Dale Adams, Sally Bennett, Nathan Birdsall, Megan Burgess, Lisa Farren, Lori Frye, Elizabeth Garrott, Katherine Gregory, Megan McLaughlin, Melanie Morrison, Lisa Moxley, Robert Peck, Rachael Penn, Stefanie Pink, Andrea Sgambat, Michelle Simms, Jeffrey Stone and Douglas VanCitters.
