Program to cover child supervision

The latest edition of "Probe" on Cable 15 examines the dangers of leaving young children without supervision.

Katherine Maddox, supervisor of Child Protective Services, Howard County Department of Social Services, and Sgt. Sandra Regler, supervisor of the Child Abuse Unit of the Howard County Police Department, will discuss the law for supervision of children, how that law is enforced and what parents can do in emergency situations when they can't find anyone to watch the children.

The show will air today at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; tomorrow, Wednesday, Friday, July 10 and 12 at noon and 7 p.m.; Saturday at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.; and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Information: 313-3320.

* Wilde Lake: 10400 block of Faulkner Ridge Circle: Someone tried to steal a 1994 Toyota Tercel by cracking open the car's steering column Wednesday night or Thursday morning, police said.
