Bandits rob man of wallet

An Elkridge man was robbed by bandits who grabbed him around the neck, put a semiautomatic handgun to his head and demanded his wallet Thursday night at the Sherwood Crossing apartment complex, police said.

The man was confronted by the robbers as he walked to an apartment building in the 6800 block of Old Waterloo Road about 11:30 p.m., police said.

After taking the man's wallet, the bandits fled on foot, police said. The wallet contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first robber was described by police as a 6-foot-3 white man weighing about 190 pounds and wearing jeans and a bandanna on his forehead.

The second was described a 6-foot-2-inch black man with a muscular build, wearing a white polo shirt.


* Elkridge: 6300 block of Orchard Club Drive: A 1988 Ford Mustang was stolen Wednesday night or Thursday morning, police said.

7100 block of Brookdale Drive: Paint was stolen from the body shop at the Baltimore-Washington Auto Exchange Wednesday night or Thursday morning. There were no signs of forced entry.
