Two pairs of Westminster area brothers were in the Carroll County Detention Center last night, accused of a weekend burglary in New Windsor.

State police said a shed in the 1300 block of Wakefield Valley Road was broken into Sunday morning and a 1986 Honda scooter was taken. A stereo was removed from a nearby car.

Russell Thomas Eckard and Ronald Terrence Eckard, 18-year-old twins who live in the first block of S. Ralph St., and Edward Edgar Ensor, 18, and his brother, Roland Theodore Ensor, 19, both of the 900 block of Leisters Church Road, were ordered yesterday held on bails ranging from $10,000 to $25,000.

State police charged each with one count of burglary and two counts of felony theft.

After their bail amounts were set by a District Court commissioner, police charged Russell Eckard and the Ensor brothers each with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary.

Police said they recovered "numerous amounts of suspected stolen property" in the investigation of the theft.

They have asked people from the New Windsor area who think they are missing property to contact them.
