Man with gun takes money at gas station

An article in Monday's editions of The Sun for Anne Arundel County contained an incorrect age for the driver of a car involved in an accident Friday afternoon on Truman Parkway in Annapolis.

Norman E. Hilton III, of the 1500 block of Manor View Drive in Davidsonville, is 17.

The Sun regrets the error.

A gunman robbed a Crain Highway gas station of an undisclosed amount of money Saturday, county police said.

The gunman entered the Mobil station in the 7900 block of Crain Highway about 4 a.m., forced the attendant into the booth and took an undetermined amount of money from the cash drawer. He fled north on foot.


Annapolis woman killed in car crash

A 75-year-old Annapolis woman was killed Friday when the car in which she was riding was struck by an oncoming vehicle, county police said.

Jeanette and Berel Frank of the 2600 block of Rigging Drive were heading west on Truman Parkway near Coover Road about 3:15 p.m. when their car was hit by another driven by Norman E. Hilton III, 78, of the 1500 block of Manor View Drive in Davidsonville, according to police.

Mr. Hilton told police he was having a problem with his gear shift, took his eyes off the road for a few minutes and his car drifted across the center line striking the Franks' car.

Mrs. Frank was pronounced dead at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Mr. Frank was in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Mr. Hilton was in stable condition at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
