HAGERSTOWN -- Cedric Allen, Pete Magre and Emiliano Giron combined on a no-hitter last night as the Charleston (W.Va.) Alley Cats beat the Hagerstown Suns, 4-0, in a Single-A South Atlantic League game.

It was the first no-hitter pitched against the Suns in Municipal Stadium history.

Steve Eddie hit a three-run homer off Hagerstown starter Jeremy Lee (3-5) in the sixth inning to cap the scoring.

Allen (6-3) retired the last 16 batters he faced, but was pulled after seven innings by Alley Cats manager Razor Shines.

Magre hit Rob Mummau to lead off the eighth inning, but retired the next three batters while stranding Mummau on third base.

Giron struck out the side in the ninth.
