Boy, 12, robbed by four teens with knife

June 23, 1995

Four teens threatened a Long Reach youth with a knife and took his skateboard Tuesday, Howard County police said.

The victim, a 12-year-old boy, was not injured, police said.

The youth had been riding his skateboard in the 5300 block of Phelps Luck Road shortly after 2 p.m. when four teens approached and harassed him before forcing him to turn over his property. Police said the skateboard was found nearby.

The boy described the four as 13 to 15 years old.

Last year, 19 juveniles were charged with robbery; two were charged in the first three months of this year, according to first-quarter crime statistics.
