BALTIMORE CITY

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1988 Chevrolet Caprice with tags NGF 165 was stolen Monday in the 3900 block of Towanda Ave.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A television valued at $200 was stolen Monday from Jay's Auto Repair in the 5200 block of Fairlawn Ave.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at $35 was stolen from Liberty Elementary School in the 3900 block of Maine Ave. during the weekend.

* THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- A man entered a room Monday at Union Memorial Hospital in the 200 block of E. University Parkway and stole a TV. Security officers detained him and recovered the TV.

* THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man who tried to leave F & M Distributors in the 200 block of W. 29th St. Monday without paying for a carton of cigarettes valued at $17.

* THEFT FROM AUTO: Northern District -- Property valued at more than $100 was stolen Monday from a 1995 Nissan Sentra parked in the 200 block of Mace St.

* THEFT FROM AUTO: Northern District -- A battery valued at more than $70 was stolen from a 1992 Ford Taurus parked yesterday outside Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- A tape deck and recorder, all valued at more than $100, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2000 block of Baker St.

* ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking three youths who attacked a 22-year-old resident of the 1600 block of Ashburton St. a block from his home Saturday and set his hair ablaze with a flammable solvent, causing minor injuries. Police said the suspects are known to the victim.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY: White Marsh Precinct -- A gunman robbed the Texaco service station in the 7500 block of Pulaski Highway yesterday of about $100.

* BURGLARY: White Marsh Precinct -- An undisclosed sum of money was stolen during the weekend from the office at J. K.'s Playroom bar in the 8200 block of Pulaski Highway. Entry was gained through a hole in the roof.
