3 armed youths flee after man refuses demand

June 20, 1995

Three armed teen-agers ran off empty-handed Friday night after an Odenton man refused to hand over his jewelry to them, county police said.

Cory Marshall, 20, was walking in the 8300 block of Candlewick Court in Severn shortly before 11 p.m. The three teen-age boys -- all armed with 9 mm handguns -- approached him and demanded his jewelry. Mr. Marshall refused and the teens fled, police said.

Mr. Marshall told police that the youths claimed his cousin owed them money. Two officers went to the cousin's house in an unsuccessful attempt to determine the youths' identity, police said.
