Chesapeake medical group names president

Lyle E. Sheldon has been named president and chief executive officer for the Upper Chesapeake Health Systems and its subsidiaries, including Upper Chesapeake Medical Services Inc., Harford Memorial Hospital and Fallston General Hospital.

He replaces Constance F. Row, who resigned.

Mr. Sheldon previously served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Fallston General Hospital.

Before joining Upper Chesapeake Health System, he held positions as assistant administrator at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., and executive director of Tampa Bay Community Hospital.

Mr. Sheldon earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers College and a master's in health services administration from the George Washington University. He is a diplomate in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member in the American Hospital Association and the George Washington University Alumni Association for Health Services Management and Policy.
