Gunman wearing mask robs store of cash

June 14, 1995

A gunman wearing a Halloween mask robbed a Severna Park 7-Eleven store yesterday morning and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, county police said.

The man, who was armed with a blue steel revolver, walked into the store in the 400 block of Benfield Road about 4:15 a.m. and demanded money. The clerk opened the cash register, and the gunman reached into a drawer and snatched money and ran from the store.

Police searched the area but could not find the robber, who was described as a black male about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He was wearing a brown shirt, black pants and a white skeleton mask with a black outline around the eyes, police said.
