Seminar to offer advice on love and marriage

The Odenton/Fort Meade Women's Aglow is sponsoring a seminar titled "Love & Marriage -- Making it Work!" The seminar will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Jessup Community Center, Route 175 at Wigley Road. The seminar leader is Becky Cymek, who will share principles she has learned from her marriage and from her experiences as a counselor for couples at her church, Victory Bible Church in Pasadena. Ms. Cymek is studying to become a pastoral counselor.

Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a steak supper from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. The cost is $11 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children under age 6 get in free. Dessert will be extra. The church is at 956 Patuxent Road.

Heritage Church of God invites you to several worship meetings. Judy Jacobs Tuttle, a Lumbee Indian from Lumberton, N.C., will be in ministry and concert at 7 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, she will give presentations at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The congregation is inviting all single adults, married couples, teens and children.

Ms. Tuttle has five solo projects to her credit. She has appeared in Nassau, Bahamas, England, Wales and Scotland. She has been on numerous television programs and has appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in London. A nursery will be available.

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a seminar called "How to Trim Your Bottom Line Costs: What You May Not Know Can Hurt Your Business." The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the Piney Orchard NTC Visitor's Center, 2400 Stream Valley Drive in Odenton.

Topics to be discussed include controlling unemployments costs and worker's compensation rates, 401(k) plans and other ways to trim costs. The seminar costs $25 and includes a continental breakfast. For more information, or to make reservations, call 672-3422.

* The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a power networking breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. June 20 at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, 14501 Sweitzer Lane in Laurel.

Featured businesses from each chamber will give five-minute presentations. The cost is $15 for chamber members, $25 for nonmembers. Early reservations are advised because seating is limited. Prospective members are welcome. For more information, call 672-3422.
