Volunteer firefighters plan Taneytown carnival lTC

Taneytown Volunteer Fire Department's annual carnival will run from Monday through June 17 at the carnival grounds, Route 140 at Memorial Park.

Entertainment, food, games and activities for the family will be featured.

Monday is family ride night, with rides open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for one price. Entertainment is by Branded.

Tuesday, Don Gabriel and the Memories will perform. Platters include fried chicken or fish.

Wednesday is the firefighters' parade at 7 p.m. Music will be by Roll the Dice, and food for sale will be roast beef and ham.

Thursday is another family ride night, and music will be by the Dusty Rhodes Band. Platters include meatloaf or ham. Friday music will be Sherwood Country featuring Jackie Raye and platters include crab cakes or chicken.

Saturday's music will be performed by The Santmyer Family Band.

A 1995 Ford Contour will be awarded.

Platters are $5 and are served in the activities building.

Other foods and beverages are available on the carnival grounds.
