THEFT: Northern District -- A 26-inch, 18-speed mountain bike valued at nearly $600 was stolen yesterday from the 400 block of Tantallion Court.

Northern District -- Police were seeking a blue 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass station wagon with tags ZMV 766 that was stolen yesterday from the 600 block of W. 40th St.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Northern District -- A resident of the 600 block of E. 37th St. was riding her mountain bike in the 3500 block of N. Charles St. yesterday when she was pushed from the bike by a man who rode off. A witness followed the man to an alley off the 3900 block of Greenmount Ave., where he held him until police arrived. The bike was recovered. The 29-year-old suspect was being held pending charges.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A mountain bike valued at more than $20 was stolen from a garage in the 5900 block of Bellona Ave. yesterday by someone who entered the garage shortly after the bike's owner removed a set of golf clubs.

SHOOTINGS: Western District -- Two men were in the 300 block of N. Schroeder St. yesterday when they were approached by two other men, each wearing T-shirts with New York City printed on the front. One of the men opened fire with a handgun, hitting one of the victims in the back and right elbow. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The other victim was shot in the right leg and was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: North Point Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the 7900 block of Lynch Road through an unlocked rear basement door yesterday and stole more than $500.

ROBBERY: North Point Precinct -- A gunman carrying a knapsack robbed the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins in the 7800 block of Eastern Ave. yesterday of an undisclosed sum of money and escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Towson Precinct -- A couple was walking near Delaware and Chesapeake avenues yesterday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed them of their cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

HARFORD COUNTY

BURGLARY: Bel Air -- Someone entered a garage in the 1200 block of Jenny Road yesterday and stole a cellular phone, pager, several compact discs and a knapsack from a car. The property stolen was valued together at more than $600.
