SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A 16-year-old resident of the 1100 block of Orleans St. was standing with friends in the 1200 block of Treeleaf Court last night when several men approached. As the men neared, one of them pulled out a handgun and began shooting. Homicide detective Charles Gilbert said the victim was hit once in the upper torso and fell to the ground. The gunman and his accomplices fled. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2000 block of Druid Park Drive through the front door yesterday and stole an undisclosed sum of money.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who struck a woman with his fist during an argument in the 2000 block of Guilford Ave. yesterday and robbed her of a pager valued at more than $40.

RAPE/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with raping a 13-year-old girl yesterday inside a house in the 1900 block of N. Payson St. The victim was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 900 block of Franklin St. was in the 800 block of N. Carrollton Ave. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of a radio valued at $100.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 800 block of Kevin Road of nearly $600 in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove St. yesterday.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A suspect believed to be a former occupant of an apartment building in the 4300 block of Connecticut Ave. entered someone else's apartment in the building yesterday and stole a VCR, money order and a dress, all valued at more than $400.

Baltimore County

BURGLARIES/ARREST: North Point Precinct -- Police arrested a 42-year-old man yesterday and charged him with at least four burglaries in the Watersedge community. After officers spotted a man riding a suspected stolen bicycle near Dundalk Avenue and Sollers Point Road, they arrested him and recovered property valued at more than $1,000 that was reported stolen earlier from one of four homes. Charged with multiple counts of burglary and held in lieu of $75,000 bond is Danny Ray Maddron of no fixed address.

THEFT: Parkville Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the 2700 block of Superior Ave. yesterday and stole a wedding band valued at nearly $400.


STOLEN CAR: Fallston -- A man stole a gray 1984 Jaguar XJ6 from Town & Country auto sales in the 2700 block of Bel Air Road yesterday with a forged down-payment check. The car's tags were unknown.
