BOWIE -- Ryan McGuire's home run touched off a three-run rally in the eighth inning that carried the Trenton Thunder to a 5-1 Eastern League victory over the Bowie Baysox at Prince George's County Stadium last night.

The uprising came against reliever Joe Borowski (1-1) after Baysox starter Jim Dedrick had battled Rafael Orellano (4-3) to a 1-1 tie.

It also featured a double steal with Trenton's Aaron Fuller scoring on the back end and the ejection of Baysox manager Bob Miscik after a bumping incident with base umpire Jeff Kowalczyk while arguing a call.

NOTE: The Orioles have promoted right-hander Rocky Coppinger (7-1, 1.57 ERA) from Frederick to the Baysox. Coppinger will start for Bowie on Saturday in Reading, Pa.
