Armed man robs convenience store

May 31, 1995

An armed man walked into a Columbia convenience store and robbed a customer before taking money from the store's register early yesterday, Howard County police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery of the Royal Farm Store in the 8200 block of Lark Brown Road in Long Reach village, police said.

Police said the man entered the store shortly after midnight, showed a handgun and demanded money from a customer and the store clerk. After they complied, he ran from the store, police said.

The robber was described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts, police said.
