Grand jury indicts man on narcotics charges

Frank Edward Jackson III, 31, of the 2100 block of Robin Hood Road has been indicted by a Harford grand jury on drug possession and distribution charges stemming from an April 7 incident.

Undercover narcotics agents arrested Mr. Jackson at the Fallston park-and-ride at Route 152 and Old Mountain Road and confiscated a pound of marijuana worth about $1,800, police said.

According to charging documents in District Court, a man first met an undercover agent at U.S. 1 and Route 152 and then drove to the park-and-ride. As police moved in, the court records show, the man tried to flee and resisted arrest.

NB Agents seized $1,000 in making the arrest, the documents said.

* BANK ROBBERY: Fawn Grove, Pa. -- Three man arrested in Harford County Wednesday on Pennsylvania charges waived extradition and were turned over to Pennsylvania State Police, a Maryland State Police spokesman in Bel Air said. The suspects were identified as George Guy Reynolds, 19, of New Freedom, Pa., and Joseph Marshall Dorsey IV, 23, and Thomas Grover Theodore Temple, 24, both of Red Lion, Pa. Money stolen from the York Bank & Trust Co. branch office in Fawn Grove, Pa., was recovered. A gun believed to be the weapon used in the robbery was found along a road, police said.

* ASSAULT: Joppatowne -- Douglas Allen Perry, 25, of the 1200 block of Plaza Circle was arrested about 2:15 a.m. Thursday on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, threatening a state official, malicious destruction of property and four counts of assault and battery on his girlfriend and deputies who were handcuffing him. Mr. Perry was being held in the county jail on $5,000 bail.

* DRUG POSSESSION: Edgewood -- Sheriff's deputies said they arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on charges of possession and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of marijuana after recovering 14 plastic bags of crack cocaine and a small quantity of marijuana from the teen's pockets May 13 in the 500 block of Candlewood Lane. Deputies later learned the youth was wanted in New Jersey for alleged similar offenses. He is being held at the Charles Hickey School for juvenile offenders pending further action by juvenile authorities.

* RAPE: Edgewood -- LeRoy Anthony Repose, 19, of the 500 block of N. Union Ave. in Havre de Grace is being held at the county jail without bond on charges stemming from the alleged rape of an Edgewood woman May 12. He was the sixth suspect charged in the incident after being arrested Tuesday in the 1000 block of Waterside Court in Edgewood.

* ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Elkton -- Three 16-year-old Baltimore boys who were camping at Elk Neck State Park in Cecil County last week were arrested at 10:10 p.m. May 20 on charges of possession of alcohol. Before releasing them to their parents, park rangers made the the juveniles dump 36 beers at the campsite. The case was referred to juvenile authorities for further action.

* DRUG POSSESSION: Kingsville -- Six young adults and six juveniles were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after state police responded about 10:30 p.m. to a complaint about a noisy party May 20 on Jericho Road near the covered bridge. Troopers reported finding papers used to roll marijuana cigarettes and a plastic bag of suspected marijuana on the ground near the group. No one admitted dropping the items, and all were arrested, court documents showed. The adults were released on their own recognizance by a District Court commissioner and the juveniles were released to their parents, pending action by juvenile authorities. The adults were identified as Stephen E. Oest, 18, of Fallston; Jason M. Kintzel, 18, of Baltimore; John W. Carroll, 22, of Essex; Frank A. Roth, 18, of Fallston; Gene C. Hines, 18, of Middle River; and Kathryn V. Cochran, 18, of Essex.
