The Columbia Foundation is giving $87,000 to 16 local nonprofit organizations. The foundation raises funds to help support the work of local charitable organizations.
Twice a year, it accepts proposals for funding programs. After a competitive review and determination of priorities among community needs, the foundation selects projects to benefit county residents in the areas of human services, education and arts and culture for grants.
