Woman injured as car crashes into two trees

May 05, 1995

A Glen Burnie woman who fell asleep at the wheel of her car yesterday morning and crashed into two trees along Muddy Creek Road was in stable condition at the Prince George's Medical Center trauma unit, county police said.

Carol Marie Bailey, 22, of the 8000 block of Winding Wood Road suffered a fractured pelvis, a fractured leg, internal injuries and minor head injuries in the accident, police said.

She was driving her 1995 Honda Civic south on Muddy Creek Road just north of Galesville Road when she fell asleep about 2:10 a.m.

Her car drifted across the north lanes and off the left side of the road. It hit one tree, spun around and hit another tree before stopping, police said.
