Navy ends season with 10-6 victory over Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Senior attackman Rob Bailey had a goal and three assists and No. 18 Navy ended a four-game skid with a 10-6 season-ending win over Stony Brook yesterday.

Bailey became Navy's 14th all-time leading scorer with 107 points (70 goals, 37 assists).

Senior Rich Costello scored two goals and added an assist and senior Matt Long and sophomore Chris Messineo each scored two goals.

Navy (6-6) took a 5-1 lead in the first half and held off a 5-1 scoring run by Stony Brook (8-5) in the game's final 15 minutes.

Junior Garrett Luebker made 12 saves for Navy and has 286 in his career, which ranks ninth in school history.
