Boys' Latin overpowers Mount St. Joseph, 16-7

Eleven players scored to lead top-ranked Boys' Latin to a 16-7 victory over visiting Mount St. Joseph in boys lacrosse yesterday.

With the victory, the Lakers (14-0, 8-0) clinch the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference Division II championship.

John Fuller, Chris Turner, Brad Gilroy, Scott Hochstadt and Pat Radebaugh each scored two goals for the winners and Ian Shure added a goal and three assists.

* Loyola 18, McDonogh 3: Jason Rickel scored four goals and made four assists to power No. 3 Loyola (10-2) past visiting McDonogh (7-9).

Brian Zeller added four goals and one assist to Loyola's cause.

Tom Layden led McDonogh with two goals.

* Calvert Hall 13, Greenwich (Conn.) 2: Greg Patchak scored two goals and added four assists to lead No. 5 Calvert Hall (10-4).

David Federline added three goals for the Cardinals.

* Centennial 10, Atholton 3: Tony Harding scored three goals and added three assists to lead No. 6 Centennial (10-2) to a win over host Atholton.

David Saunders had four goals for the Eagles.

* Mount Hebron 15, Glenelg 9: Scott Baughman scored five goals as No. 11 Mount Hebron (9-1) defeated visiting Glenelg.

Rick Henry had 29 saves for Glenelg.

* Annapolis 12, Old Mill 3: Eric Morgan scored four goals and added three assists to lead No. 13 Annapolis (8-1) to a win over visiting Old Mill (3-8).

* John Carroll 6, Park 5: Sean McDonough had two goals and an assist to lead host John Carroll (6-4) over Park.

Bryan Barrett added two goals for John Carroll.

* Perry Hall 14, Lansdowne 2: Chris Gelak scored six goals to go along with his five assists to lead Perry Hall (7-0) over Lansdowne.

GIRLS

* Mount Hebron 17, Glenelg 2: Dani Vissers scored six goals to lead No. 2 Mount Hebron (10-1) over host Glenelg.

Amber Fanta added three goals and four assists while Laura Correnti added two goals and two assists for the Vikings.

* Loch Raven 16, Owings Mills 0: Robyn Harry scored six goals to lead No. 3 Loch Raven over visiting Owings Mills.

L Gia Trionfo added two goals and two assists for the Raiders.

* Annapolis 22, Old Mill 1: Karen Hunt had five goals and two assists and Susan Berotti had four goals and two assists as No. 8 Annapolis (10-1) defeated visiting Old Mill.

* Centennial 23, Atholton 4: Gina Dinisio scored four goals to lead No. 11 and host Centennial (8-1) to victory.

Becca Arminger added three goals and two assists for the Eagles.

pTC * Broadneck 7, Arundel 4: Liz Goodrich scored three goals and one assist as No. 13 Broadneck (8-3) defeated Arundel.

Tara Jensen had 13 saves in the win for the Bruins.

* South River 13, Glen Burnie 2: Megan Riley scored four goals and added two assists to lead No. 15 South River (9-2) over visiting Glen Burnie.

Lori Estes and Maura Smith each added two goals for the Seahawks.

* Perry Hall 15, Randallstown 8: Jessa Phoebus scored five goals and added an assist to lead host Perry Hall over Randallstown.

Amanda Kelly added two goals and an assist for the Gators.

* Chesapeake-AA 18, Meade 2: Sandra Norris scored five goals and added an assist to lead Chesapeake-AA (8-3) to a victory over host Meade (1-8). Stacy Reynolds added two goals and three assists for the Cougars.
