BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Nottingham Road through the front door yesterday and stole a VCR and a TV, together valued at $1,000.

STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- A gray 1991 Chevrolet van with handicap tags 96645 was stolen Tuesday from the 4700 block of Winterbourne Road.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A cassette recorder valued at $40 was stolen from a house in the 2800 block of St. Paul St. yesterday by someone who entered through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of Hollen Road yesterday through a basement window and stole property of unknown value.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him pending charges that he robbed the Royal Farm store in the first block of E. 33rd St. yesterday afternoon and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. The suspect was arrested near the scene. During the robbery, the suspect implied he was armed with a gun.

STABBING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Cross Country Blvd. was in the 4200 block of Park Heights Ave. yesterday when a woman he knows stabbed him in the back with a pair of scissors. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital. The suspect was being sought.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 6800 block of Parsons Ave. of more than $100 yesterday in the 3800 block of W. Belvedere Ave.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 4500 block of Homer Ave. Tuesday after cutting the lock and stole property valued at nearly $500. Taken was an electric hedge trimmer, an aluminum ladder, auto supplies, four saw blades, plumbing fixtures and supplies, four propane gas tanks, paint brushes and paint rollers.

ROBBERY: White Marsh Precinct -- A couple was walking in the first block of Pocono Court yesterday when they were approached by two males who demanded their property. One of the men then sprayed the male victim with a chemical irritant while the other suspect struck the woman with a bottle, causing a minor laceration. The men then robbed the woman of her purse containing more than $100 in cash and property.

BURGLARY: Parkville Precinct -- Someone entered a house on Thorndyke Garth yesterday after breaking out a pane of glass in a door and stole several pieces of jewelry and a pocket watch, all valued at more than $1,000.

BANK ROBBERY: Towson Precinct -- A gunman robbed the Nations Bank at Towson Market Place in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Ave. yesterday of an undisclosed sum of money. During the robbery, the man kept a handgun covered with a bandanna while ordering a teller to place money in a paper bag he carried with him. The gunman drove off in a white Dodge Shadow.
