Clark deployed to Fort Benning for training

Marine Capt. Robert D. Clark recently deployed with the Marine Corps' Second Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion to Fort Benning, Ga., for a three-month training exercise.

The annual gunnery exercise involves light armored vehicles equipped with 25 mm machine guns. Marines will use the Fort Benning firing ranges to practice shooting at moving targets while maneuvering in the field.

The Marines also will participate in small arms training and team operation.

Captain Clark is the son of James P. and Joyce L. Clark of Berrett. A 1980 graduate of South Carroll High School, he joined the Marine Corps in July 1985. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute in Lexington in 1984 with a bachelor's degree.
