Volunteers are needed to distribute saplings from 8 a.m. to noon, noon to 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday behind Sear's at The Mall in Columbia.
The 1995 Mid-Atlantic Community Tree Distribution project is sponsored by Ecology Crossroads Cooperative Foundation, a charitable environmental education and service organization.
Trees are available to the public for donations of 80 cents to $1.
Volunteers will receive free trees.
Trees for sale include Austrian pine, Colorado blue spruce, white flowering dogwood, Japanese black pine, black locust, Douglas fir, green ash, white spruce, red oak, Norway spruce, Ponderosa pine, purple lilac and Muhgo pine.
