SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5200 block of Barton Ave. was walking along a path in a woods off the 5000 block of Schaub Ave. yesterday when one of two men approached from the rear and demanded his money. When the victim turned around, one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot him in the left leg. The gunman and his accomplice fled without robbing the victim. The victim was taken to the Bayview Medical Center and was treated and released. At the scene, police found a shell casing from a .25 caliber semiautomatic handgun.

THEFT FROM TRUCK: Northeastern District -- A saw, hammer, drill and drill bits, all valued at more than $600, were stolen from a truck yesterday while the vehicle was parked in the 2200 block of Sinclair Lane.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a shed in the 5200 block of Barbara Ave. yesterday by breaking a window and stole an exercise bike, dishes and at least two sets of body-building weights, all valued at nearly $1,200. Police were seeking a relative of the resident in connection with the burglary.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Northern District -- Stereo equipment valued at nearly $300 was stolen from a car parked in the 2300 block of Bayleaf Court yesterday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 700 block of W. 36th St. yesterday and stole tools valued at more than $1,000.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1993 Subaru station wagon with temporary tags 68577J was stolen yesterday from the 600 block of Benninghaus Road.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone kicked in a door of a house in the 5300 block of Midwood Ave. yesterday and stole four rhinestone necklaces valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Property valued at more than $100 was stolen from a house in the 3400 block of Chestnut Ave. yesterday by someone who entered through a basement door.

CARJACKING: Northwestern District -- An 84-year-old resident of the 3900 block of N. Charles St. was getting out of his red 4-door 1990 Lexus with tags TAX 839 in the 6300 block of Park Heights Ave. yesterday when two men, one with a handgun, demanded his keys. After robbing the victim of his wallet containing $10, the men drove off in the car.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 4-door blue 1990 Hyundai with tags YLP 508 was stolen yesterday from the 2400 block of Denison St.

ROBBERY: Essex Precinct -- Police were seeking two youths who robbed a 12-year-old boy of his watch yesterday while the boy was playing basketball in the 1000 block of S. Marlyn Ave.

THEFT: North Point Precinct -- Someone stole a 20-speed mountain bike valued at $400 from the rear patio of a house in the 6800 block of Brentwood Ave. Sunday.

STOLEN CAR: Parkville Precinct -- Police were seeking a 1983 Buick Regal with tags 435 ATN that was stolen yesterday from the first block of Harebell Court.

SCHOOL BURGLARY: Wilkens Precinct -- Someone entered Lansdowne Senior High School in the 3800 block of Hollins Ferry Road over the weekend and broke into at least one coin-operated soda machine. Slight damage was done to the interior of the school.
