Ashe leads Perry Hall over Dulaney

Brian Ash went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead No. 4 Perry Hall (9-0) over host Dulaney, 11-5, yesterday.

Ash (4-0) pitched seven innings, struck out seven and walked two. Chris Ude added a double, a triple and two RBIs for the Gators.

* Calvert Hall 8, St. Bernards 2: Billy Staub struck out nine and Jason Jacobs got the save as top-ranked Calvert Hall (18-0) defeated host St. Bernards (10-3) in Cincinnati.

* Mount St. Joseph 11, Loyola 7: Kyle Skinner went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as No. 6 Mount St. Joseph (13-2) held off host Loyola.

* Arundel 5, Annapolis 3: Andy Vermillion went 3-for-3 with an RBI and pitched seven innings to lead No. 10 Arundel over visiting Annapolis. Vermillion (3-1) struck out five and walked two and did not allow an earned run.

* Broadneck 10, Southern AA 2: John Totherow pitched a five-hitter in going the distance as visiting and No. 14 Broadneck (10-1) defeated Southern (5-6).

* Overlea 10, Carver A&T 0: Ryan Vogel pitched a three-hitter as host and No. 15 Overlea (7-3) defeated visiting Carver A&T. Senior center fielder Tim Dimemno added three hits, including a home run and a triple for the Falcons.

* John Carroll 5, Fallston 4: Chris Furst hit a two-run single and Tim DeCapiti had a run-scoring single to lead host and No. 19 John Carroll (10-2). DeCapiti (5-0) pitched a complete game, striking out three, walking two and giving up two earned runs.

* South Carroll 5, Frederick 1: Ronnie White pitched seven innings, gave up three hits and one run, walked two and struck out three as visiting and No. 12 South Carroll (10-4) defeated Frederick. Bryan Herche was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and one RBI and Jason Petroski was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Softball

* Glen Burnie 10, Meade 3: Denise Warren went 5-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead visiting and No. 1 Glen Burnie (9-0).

Samantha Miller (5-0) pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and allowed just one earned run. Miller also went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

* IND 7, Mercy 4: Kristan Ehrman homered and drove in two runs with a one-out single in the eighth as No. 5 IND edged host Mercy.

* Spalding 23, Seton Keough 0: Kathleen O'Hara pitched a two-hitter to lead visiting and No. 6 Spalding (12-1) over Seton Keough. Crystal Henderson went 4-for-5 with five RBIs and had four stolen bases for the Cavaliers.

* Arundel 9, Annapolis 1: Kristen Daffin went 3-for-4 with two triples and five RBIs, and Kara Kitchen (7-1) struck out eight batters to lead host and No. 8 Arundel (7-1).

* John Carroll 14, Fallston 4: Alischa Page went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to lead host and No. 14 John Carroll (11-2).
