POLICE

*Westminster: A resident of South Court Street reported that someone shot a pellet through the side of her 10,000-gallon outdoor swimming pool Monday. She told police the hole was about 10 inches from the bottom, and an estimated 5,000 gallons of water drained from the pool before she discovered the vandalism and was able to plug the hole with a stick. She estimated the damage at $250.

An official of Kmart on Englar Road told police that someone stole an assortment of videotapes, valued at $131, Monday.

FIRE

*Westminster: Westminster and Reese responded to a mulch fire near a model home on Federal Ann Lane at 4:58 p.m. yesterday. Units were out 35 minutes.
