UM women stay unbeaten, 14-4

Junior Kelly Amonte and freshman Sascha Newmarch each scored three goals to lead top-ranked Maryland to a 14-4 victory over Harvard yesterday in College Park.

The Terps improved to 10-0, marking the 18th consecutive season they have won at least 10 games. No. 11 Harvard fell to 5-3.

* William & Mary 5, UMBC 3: Amanda Longstreth scored two goals as No. 6 William & Mary (6-1) topped visiting UMBC (4-6). Alison Zaetz had two goals for the Retrievers, who have lost two straight.

* Johns Hopkins 12, Ursinus 6: Juniors Jenn Ward and Francine Brennan each scored three goals to lead visiting Johns Hopkins (10-2, 7-0) over Ursinus (8-3, 6-1) in a Centennial Conference game.

Hopkins is unbeaten in 17 league games and took over first.

* Goucher 13, Randolph-Macon 12: Courtney Crangi and Kristin Carey (Towson) scored five goals apiece to power visiting Goucher (9-1) past Randolph-Macon (11-3).
