April 14, 1995|By The Hollywood Reporter

"Land of the Lost," the innovative Saturday morning TV show about a prehistoric world from Sid & Marty Krofft Pictures, will get a big-screen treatment by Walt Disney Pictures.

Peter Lenkov (who wrote "Demolition Man" and produced "Jury Duty") is writing the screenplay. Sid and Marty Krofft will produce the theatrical version.

The TV show originally aired on NBC 1974-1976 and has returned several times in the '80s and '90s to CBS and ABC. It is about a forest ranger and his two children who get caught in a time warp and find themselves in a prehistoric world.
