Woodland Village to get final houses

Chateau Builders in Columbia has announced the construction of its final group of townhouses in Woodland Village in Ellicott City.

The 120-acre Woodland Village, begun in 1984, has 796 homes.

County job fair set for April 28

The Maryland Department of Economic and Employment Development and the Howard County Job Service Employer Committee, will sponsor the Howard County Job Fair April 28 at the Maryland Army National Guard Armory, 4244 Montgomery Road, Ellicott City.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., job seek ers will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from companies looking for people with professional, technical, managerial, financial, clerical, health care, education and hospitality experience.

They also will be able to register for Maryland Job Service programs.

Employers will have the opportunity to obtain information and resource materials about the services that DEED's office provide to Maryland businesses.

Participants are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared to apply for jobs. Admission is free.

Howard County employers are invited to participate in the job fair by registering for a booth.
