Seventh-ranked North Carroll was headed for another easy Carroll County girls softball victory yesterday when the rains came in the last of the second inning at Liberty.

The Panthers, who scored seven runs in the first inning, were leading the Lions, 10-2, when rain halted play. The umpires waited approximately 10 minutes before calling the game off. The game will be replayed in its entirety at a date to be determined by both schools.

Kandi Lippy had struck out three Liberty batters in 1 2/3 innings.
