Bicyclist in Clarksville struck by car, injured

A Baltimore man suffered head injuries when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Clarksville Saturday afternoon, Howard County police said.

Robert Moore of the 200 block of Longwood Road was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Saturday after being struck on Trotter Road at 12:20 p.m. He was listed in serious condition, police said.

The driver, Karen Goertler of the 12600 block of Golden Oak Drive in Ellicott City was not injured.

Ms. Goertler did not appear to be at fault, police said.

The accident is under investigation.
